Born in Santa Cruz, California on June 29, 1993, Oliver Tree Nickell was many things: a chart-topping musician, a surprisingly good comedian, a filmmaker, and a professional scooter rider who once had to stop touring because of a scooter injury.
His music refused to fit in a box — alt-rock, hip-hop, pop, country, absurdist comedy — often in the same song. His debut Ugly Is Beautiful went platinum. Miss You hit #1 globally.
He was taken from us on June 14, 2026, at age 32. Weirdos everywhere still feel a little less weird because of him.
